The Le Crabe Heureux tablecloth catapults you directly into a small French bistro, a large portion of moules frites in front of you and the wonderful rustic atmosphere of these small restaurants on the harbour all around you. The motifs on the tablecloth are designed by toujours à table, drawn by hand and then screen-printed onto the fabric by hand, each motif individually. The striped border, which references the Breton love of stripes, is also produced in this way. Once the tablecloth and the borders have been printed, everything is sewn in a Hamburg tailor’s shop. So tutto completto locally and fairly produced for you! As each tablecloth is made individually, each one is unique and the motifs may vary slightly in position. We wish you wonderfully cosy hours around your table in a great frame and a petit charme breton!

  • Size: H 1,50 m, W 2,40 m
  • Made by hand and with love: Our tablelinen collection is made by hand from the very first stroke: the motifs are hand-drawn, screen-printed by hand and the printed fabrics are finished in a Hamburg tailor’s shop. Each of the colourful motifs is individually screen-printed by hand. We spend many hours working on a single tablecloth. As small variations in the print result are unavoidable in the manual process of screen printing, small differences in the print are possible. All fabrics are pre-washed by us.
  • Colour: off white, red, lilac
  • Material: Linen-cotton twill (44% LI / 56%CO) European Flax®, BCI certified and Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, Ramie linen (80%RA / 20%CO), Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 product class II
  • The Le Crabe Heureux tablecloth is produced by individually screen printing the hand-drawn motifs onto the fabric in our Hamburg studio. The striped pattern, also drawn by hand, is also screen-printed by hand onto the colourful fabric. The edges and fabric are then processed into the finished tablecloth in a Hamburg tailor’s shop. The entire manufacturing process is therefore local and fair. As small variations in the print result are unavoidable in the manual process of screen printing, small variations in the print result are possible. As everything is set by hand, the positions or motifs can also vary slightly. The end result is a tablecloth that is completely handcrafted and unique.
Please wash the tablecloth at a maximum of 30 degrees and carefully pull the edges into shape after washing while still damp. It is not suitable for tumble drying. When ironing the edges and over the motifs, please always use a tea towel to place between the set and the iron to prevent the screen printing ink from rubbing off.

    ABOUT

toujours à table was founded by me, Lara, in 2023. Inspired by the time we spent together with my family in Brittany and our many T3 trips along the Breton coast, I designed and drew the motifs for our tablelinen collection. Once you have market-fresh oysters, artichokes and vino on the table, you immediately understand the savoir-vivre and never want to have it any other way! The drawn scallops, oysters, etc. in the collection are the result of exactly this Breton attitude to life and bring it directly to your home! After the motifs have been drawn and applied to the screens, I screen print them onto the fabrics and then the fabrics are processed in a Hamburg tailor’s shop. The result is a colourful tablelinen collection of tablecloths, placemats, napkins and tea towels that will make your home a little more colourful, cheerful and un petit peu plus française!
