The chequered plates from the French brand Bleu Clémentine are handmade, fired and glazed by the artist Morgane in her studio in Bordeaux. Each plate is therefore unique and no two are exactly alike! Once set, the plates with their large chequered pattern conjure up a wonderful cosiness and rusticity on your table – perfect for a glass of wine and cheese in the evening, as well as pancakes in the morning, a tartelette for afternoon tea or a delicious portion of moules marinières! We say bon appétit!

Manufacture

Bleu Clémentine ceramics are 100% handmade. It is moulded, fired and painted by hand in a small village near Bordeaux. Each plate is individually shaped and painted, so each one is unique and small variations in colour and size from product to product are likely. The plates are glossy glazed on the top and untreated on the bottom, which gives the plates a special, rustic charm.

Care instructions

Please only wash the handmade ceramics by hand so that you can enjoy them for a long time. It is not suitable for the microwave or oven.

ABOUT Bleu Clémentine

Bleu Clémentine ceramics are made entirely by hand by artist Morgane in her workshop in a village near Bordeaux in France. She taught the craft of pottery completely by herself. Having grown up in Nice, she is inspired by the Mediterranean and its colours, shapes and life. What excites her most in her work is making objects like cups, plates or vases that get their value from using them in everyday life. It takes several weeks to finish an object. It has to be fired twice, the last time at 1240 degrees. When this process is complete, ceramics have been created that can withstand everyday use.
