To the love of stripes and the great Marinière jumpers of the Bretons. The homage in placemat form picks up on the striped look of the Breton sailors and reinterprets it with lots of bright colours. The colourful sets are great for cosy brunch mornings at the weekend, but are just as much a colourful highlight on any dinner table! They are hand-drawn from the first strip, screen-printed by hand and sewn for you in a Hamburg tailor’s shop! So tutto completto locally and fairly produced! They also make a great splash of colour on colourful Christmas tables on Advent Sundays or Christmas Eve! We wish you lots of fun with the bright colours, stripes and une petite brise bretonne!

  • Size: H 35 cm, W 42 cm
  • Made by hand and with love: Our tablelinen collection is made by hand from the very first stroke: the motifs are hand-drawn, screen-printed by hand and the printed fabrics are finished in a Hamburg tailor’s shop.
  • Colour: light blue, violet, red
  • Material: Ramie linen (80%RA / 20%CO), Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 product class II, Vliesofix (100% PA), Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 product class I
  • The Marinière placemat is produced by screen printing the hand-drawn stripe pattern onto the fabric. A left and a right side are printed. The two layers of fabric are stitched together, glued with Vliesofix, a double-sided adhesive interlining, to give the set more stability and then framed. The toujours à table logo is printed in the centre of the reverse side.
Please only wash the placemat at 30 degrees gentle wash and pull it into shape while still damp after washing and leave it to dry flat on the drying rack. It is not suitable for tumble drying. The Vliesofix layer may cause slight bubbles after washing, but these can be easily ironed out! Please always use a tea towel between the set and the iron when ironing so that the screen printing ink does not rub off.

    ABOUT

toujours à table was founded by me, Lara, in 2023. Inspired by the time we spent together with my family in Brittany and our many T3 trips along the Breton coast, I designed and drew the motifs for our tablelinen collection. Once you have market-fresh oysters, artichokes and vino on the table, you immediately understand the savoir-vivre and never want to have it any other way! The drawn scallops, oysters, etc. in the collection are the result of exactly this Breton attitude to life and bring it directly to your home! After the motifs have been drawn and applied to the screens, I screen print them onto the fabrics and then the fabrics are processed in a Hamburg tailor’s shop. The result is a colourful tablelinen collection of tablecloths, placemats, napkins and tea towels that will make your home a little more colourful, cheerful and un petit peu plus française!
